It will benefit from another 1-2 years of bottle age, and should age well for 7-8 years. Producer Château Ferrand LartigueQuite a new property in Saint-Émilion, Château Ferrand Lartigue was first created in 1993 by Pierre Ferrand. However, Ferrand soon sold his property to Vitis Vintage in 2008, owners of Château Grand Ferrand in Saint-Émilion and Château Tourteau Chollet in Graves. The new owners were quick to bring in the celebrated, Stephane Derenoncourt as assistant winemaker and vineyard manager. The success of this initial decision can be seen in the evolution of quality year after year. Ferrand Lartigue’s property consists of 5 hectares of vineyards planted to Merlot (80%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). With a limited production, the property produces two wines, their first wine, eponymously named Château Ferrand Lartigue and their second wine called FL de Ferrand Lartigue.
