From Genestrerio and aged for 18 months in barriques, 30% new and the rest one and two years old, the 2019 Tenimento La Prella Ticino Merlot Riserva opens with an elegant and fragrant bouquet of red and dark fruits intertwined with toasty notes. Charmingly fine and elegant on the palate, with round, ripe and persistently juicy cherry and red berry fruit, crystalline acidity and delicate, finely spicy and well-integrated tannins, this is a flattering Merlot with stimulating salinity and fine, tart tannin grip on the finish. 13% existing alcohol.
