It’s full, yet reserved, with ultra-fine tannins and a long, energetic finish. Cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Drink after 2025 and beyond.92 Robert ParkerBottled under Diam 30, the 2019 La Louvière delivers a rich bouquet of ripe black fruits, charcoal, forest floor, black truffle and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, broad and enveloping, it's a fleshy, layered wine with an ample core of fruit, lively acids and plenty of ripe tannin that asserts itself on the finish. With a few years' bottle age, this will make for dramatic drinking. Producer Château La LouvièreNestled in Bordeaux’s winemaking cradle, Château La Louvière can be found in Pessac-Léognan, just several kilometers from the city. Benefiting from a long vinous history of over seven centuries, the current château was built by Jean-Baptiste Mareilhac during the French Revolution. By 1965 the neoclassical château was purchased by André Lurton, who worked to restore the estate’s former glory. Terroir-based vineyard management, environmentally-friendly viticultural practices, and traditional winemaking methods coupled with the judicious use of modern techniques enable La Louvière to produce dry white and red wines of great character.
